Lancers open TVL play with 42 -12 win @ Ashland

The Norton football team went into Ashland with only 3 days to prepare and set the tone early scoring 28 points in the first quarter. The score at halftime was 42-6! The Clockers scored the only points of the second half and the final was 42-12. The Lancers were paced on offense by Sean Ryan once again who carried the ball 10 times for 205 yards and 5 touchdowns. The second leading rusher was sophomore Jon Sicard who ran for 51 yards on the night. Brendan St. Germain had another solid night at the QB position going 6-6 for 86 yards and a touchdown. Brian Desmond was the receipient of the TD Pass. Desmond had over 100 yards in Punt/Kick-Off returns and also led the defense to another solid night. The clockers didn't reach positive yards on offense until the final play of the 1st quarter. Another successful night on the field for the lancers who are now 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the TVL. The next game will be Friday October 3rd against Dover-Sherborn at home...Fox 25 News Game of the Week! Come out to the game and the pre-game festivities.

Lancers get convincing 35-6 victory against Oliver Ames in Easton!

The Lancers used a much more balanced attack on Saturday afternoon scoring 35 pts in 3 quarters. Brendan St. Germain was 10 - 13 passing for 233 yds and 2 TD. The rushing attack was led by Sean Ryan who rushed for 85 yds on 16 carries. Stephen Gilmore rushed for 65 and Jon Sicard pitched in with 54. The recievers were led by Darren Doucette who had 3 catches for 112 yds and a score. Sean Ryan scored four times on the day.

The Defense was stifling all day causing three turnovers and holding the Tiger spread offense under 200 yds.

The Lancers are back in action friday night away @ Ashland...The TVL schedule begins.

Lancers get huge opening win vs. Masconomet 8-7


The Lancers overcame a late 7-0 deficit on a TD run by QB Brendan St. Germain and a two point conversion run by Sean Ryan. This put the Lancers up 8-7 and the defense held on for the opening game victory at Adams Field. Offensively, Norton was led by workhorse running back Sean Ryan who carried the ball 27 times for 155 yds. Stephen Gilmore also carried 6 times for 47 yds. The Defense was led by Ricky Travers, Stephen Gilmore and Brian Desmond holding Masconomet to 150 total yds. The Lancers will play at Southeastern vs. Oliver Ames this Saturday at 1:00 PM. Come out and support the team as the get ready for the difficult Tri-Valley League schedule.
