Norton plays great defense and pulls away late in 20-0 victory over Westwood


The Lancers showed that they could win a defensive battle for the second time this season beating Westwood 20-0 at Adams Field. The game was in doubt until the final 5 minutes with the Lancers clinging to a 7-0 lead. Sean Ryan then broke free for a 31 yard TD and put the game away. The Defense was led by senior captain Ricky Travers who tallied 14 tackles on the night and helped hold the Wolverines under 50 yards until the final drive. The offense was slowed but Sean Ryan and the "O" got back on track in the 4th quarter when Ryan rushed for the bulk of his 150 yards. The Lancers are now 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the TVL... They travel to defending champion Medfield on Friday Oct. 24th to play the 2-4 Warriors.

Norton downs Hopkinton 35-14 to move to 5-0 overall, 3-0 in TVL.


The Lancers faced some adversity friday night in Hopkinton when they turned the ball over 3 times in the 1st half to let Hopkinton back in the game at 21-14 heading into the break. Norton came out and dominated the 2nd half on their way to a 35-14 victory. Darren Doucette dominated on the defensive side and the running of Sean Ryan and passing of Brendan St. Germain led the offense. Ryan finished with 202 yards on 24 carries and scored two times. St. Germain was 8-13 for 111 yards with 2 TD and 1 INT. The Lancers are home next week vs Westwood who is currently 3-2.

Lancers Dominate Dover-Sherborn in front of huge crowd!


The Norton Football team moved to 4-0 on the young season in front of 1500 fans at Norton High School. The excitement surrounding the game was triggered by being the Fox 25 News High School game of the week. The Lancers would score 28 points in the 2nd quarter and coast the rest of the way. Sean Ryan scored 4 times on the ground moving his total to 13 TD's in 4 games. The Lancers are on the road next week against 2-2 Hopkinton.
